Aaron, Linda and Ted Zacks Family Philanthropic Fund

We have had the pleasure of working with various Jewish communal organizations, primarily Camp Hatikvah, the Jewish Community Foundation, the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, Temple Sholom and the United Israel Appeal. In doing so we have learned about “tikkun olam” and our responsibility to help improve peoples’ lives through both financial support and personal participation.

We established this fund to help provide for the community’s financial future. Inspired by the dor l’dor concept to involve succeeding generations directly in charitable endeavours, we designated our son, Aaron, to determine each year the services and programmes to be supported by this fund.

This is a beneficial experience for Aaron. We hope that both the Jewish and general communities will benefit from this fund and that its earnings will be applied to strengthen the relationships between Jews in Canada and Jews in Israel.
